SMCC takes pride in hosting the First Annual SMCC Mental Health and Well-Being Expo on Saturday, March 30, from 9:00 am -2:00 pm! This transformative and free community event is dedicated to mental well-being!

The SMCC Mental Health and Well-Being Expo is teaming up with local healthcare providers, including managed healthcare organizations, to raise awareness about mental health and offer essential services to our community.

The Expo will bring a fun and entertaining experience to families in South Phoenix and surrounding communities as we emphasize hope and recovery. Join us for a day packed with music, entertainment, food, complimentary physical and behavioral health screenings, exclusive access to various mental health organizations, vaccinations, stress management, and so much more.

Bring your family and enjoy a day of wholesome fun while supporting the mission to transform lives by building healthy families and resilient communities.

SMCC Mental Health and Well-Being Expo Presents Keynote Speaker: Kevin Hines

Kevin Hines is a storyteller. 

He is a best selling author, global public speaker, and award winning documentary filmmaker. In the Year 2000, Kevin attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness & the ability to survive pain with true resilience.

His motto:
#BeHereTomorrow and every day after that.

South Mountain Community College is an NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors) Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP). This designation allows SMCC to begin offering continuing education that qualifies for NBCC credit. 

To show our graduates to mental health and healthcare professionals, we will offer free CE credits to licensed professionals attending qualified workshops at the SMCC Mental Health and Well-Being Expo.
